Made it through your freshmen year. Now you got your feel for high school and kinda got an idea of what's going on, but it sure ain't over yet. You still got 3 more years of experience to go through, 3 years of learning, and 3 years of ups and downs. You'll be putting on a tough academic load, and the teachers aren't gonna be as easy on you now that you aren't freshmen anymore. But as you move up in the world, more responsibility is placed on you. Don't get scared though, it's not to much more difficult. So what about God in all of this, where does He come in? Well, He's here no matter what and through anything. You're up late trying to do your homework, and lacking motivation, just spend some time with Him. He'll help you get motivated to do that right thing and finish it. When you are struggling with drama, relationships, or peer pressure, just lean on Him. His strength is always enough to get you through. Keep reading your bible, and pray. You'd be amazed at what He can do.
Also, as sophomores, you have a great opportunity to be a great witness to the freshmen. Juniors and Seniors have a strong influence because their "the top" of the school. However you can connect a lot easier with the freshmen. You've already been through freshmen year, so you understand it, but you also don't walk around with the title of upperclassmen. Use that to your advantage.
Just remember, you still got 3 years ahead of you. Seek God through them all, and He will help you get through, with a joy that you can't put words to, and be that shining light.
High School is one of those "once in a lifetime" experiences. It comes with a lot more freedom and decisions. Of course you can't forget the Friday night football games. However, it isn't easy to be a Christian in high school today. From the temptations to peer pressure, to major life decisions, it's not easy. But, God is always with us and will help us make it through. Check things out, maybe God will have something for you here.
